Refunds and Cancellation Policy
What happens when you cancel: how to do it, whether money comes back, what happens to your website, and how to take your content and members with you.
- Cancel any time from your account — no contract, no notice period, no fee.
- Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Payments already made are final and non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Your content stays yours and can be exported on request.
A summary for orientation only — the numbered sections below are what apply
How to cancel
Cancel from your account settings at any time. No notice period, no cancellation fee, and no need to explain why.
Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not remove your site immediately.
There is no option to pause a subscription. If you need a break, cancel and subscribe again later — at the price current on the day you return.
Refunds
Because access to digital materials, software and platform features cannot be returned, all payments are final and non-refundable, except where required by law.
This applies to monthly and yearly subscriptions, one-time digital purchases, and access to website tools, data and features.
Cancelling stops the next renewal charge. It does not refund a period already paid for.
If you believe a payment was made in error, contact contact@ownthegame.app and we will review it.
Raising a chargeback without contacting us first is treated as fraudulent activity and may result in immediate account termination.
Accounts removed for breaching the Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are not refunded.
Statutory rights
The no-refund position is our policy, not an override of the law. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law, including any statutory right to cancel a distance contract within a fixed period.
To make a claim under those rights, contact contact@ownthegame.app.
What happens to your website
At the end of the paid period the site is taken offline and stops serving visitors and members.
The site is suspended, not deleted: it stops being visible to you, your visitors and your members, but your data is kept for 30 days.
During those 30 days you can ask us for your data and we will provide it. Subscribing again within that window restores the site as it was.
After 30 days, content and member data are deleted from live systems and removed from backups on our normal backup cycle.
If you connected your own domain, it remains yours — you simply point it elsewhere.
Getting your content and members
You can request your data at any time while subscribed, and during the 30 days after cancelling.
Exports cover your published predictions and analysis, your settled performance record, and your member list with subscription status — provided on request where technically feasible.
Member payment relationships live in your own Stripe account and are unaffected by cancelling here.
Ask us if you need help producing a complete export — this is a normal request, not an awkward one.
Your members when you cancel
Your members are your customers. Before your site goes offline you are responsible for telling them, and for cancelling or refunding their subscriptions in Stripe as your own terms require.
We do not contact your members on your behalf, and we do not take over their subscriptions.
If we end the agreement
If we suspend or terminate your subscription for a breach of the Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, you will normally still be given a period to export your content, except where the law or the seriousness of the breach prevents it.
Enterprise and custom work
Project fees for custom development, migration or integration work are quoted per project and are non-refundable once the work has been delivered, unless the written scope for that project says otherwise.
